Bristol Harbour
One of the paintings which came from Norfolk is huge. It is by WR Whitby who was painting around the time Castlebank was built – so it is very appropriate to the building.
Between the actual size of the painting and the ornate gold frame it is in, it must weigh at least 30kg, so it was beyond us to hang ourselves. Luckily the local handyman who has been putting up handrails for us, also turned out to be good at hanging pictures.
So now it has pride of place in the dining room – it really makes the room.
