A Tail of Two Bad Cats
I have always been a huge Beatrix Potter fan. My favourite is “The Tailor of Gloucester” but close after that comes “The Tale of Two Bad Mice”
In case anyone is not familiar with it, it was published in 1904 (so is firmly out of copyright and obtainable for free on Project Gutenberg) and is the story of how two naughty mice cause havoc in a dolls’ house.
Just for shits and giggles I wrote my own version,
The title is a deliberate misquote, and the story has been adapted to feature a Victorian house, two cats, and a vegan meal which goes wrong. I wrote the text and Chat GPT did the illustrations, featuring our actual house (and actual cats).
He even did a version of the end cover.
