Falkland Palace

The three of us went to Falkland Palace yesterday. Falkland is a super pretty village – it looks a bit like a miniature Stirling or Edinburgh Old Town.

The palace itself is quite nice, but late October was really not the best time to go as part of the charm of it is the gardens, and of course these were not that great in late October. As to the interior, is is interesting and scenic, but there is not that much to it.

Here is me being Queen – a role I think I am well suited to.

All in all it is not fantastic value for £19 each – compared to for example Stirling Castle at the same price. Actually one of the best value things is (strangely) the Tower of London, which is pricy at £35 but is a whole long day of different interesting things for less than twice the price of Falkland.

But it was not bad and as it is our local tourist attraction we had to go.
