Another room completed
Or more or less completed. When we moved in, I had to get my study with my PC up and running as a priority. I have a lot of “stuff” – mainly crafting things, tools and electronics, so in order to make things tidy, I bought a Kalax from Ikea and J kindly built it for me. I then stuffed everything into it in a jumbled mess. As a result of this, I have spent the last five months having to ratch through boxes every time I wanted something basic like tape or a craft knife.
My office also had a floor of original Victorian pitch pine, and although it was quite attractive, it was very impractical because a) my office chair was gouging chunks out of it every time I moved b) it was very unhygienic because anything dropped on it got wedged in cracks and it was essentially uncleanable c) it was very hard on my fused foot which is quite sensitive and does best on nice soft carpets.
Long and short of it, I got a new carpet fitted (thanks yet again to the excellent BM Carpets who have done all the carpets in here). While it was getting laid I had all my stuff out of the room, and I have taken the opportunity to sort it all out. So hopefully I should be able to find things again now.
