Mousemas is coming

If anyone read my former blog at www.donich.co.uk, they will have heard of the festival of Mousemas.  This is somewhat similar to Christmas in that it involves 12 days of feasting, but it is purely for cats and those lucky humans who have the privilege of serving them.  It commences on 18th December and runs through to 29th, which co-incidentally happens to be R’s birthday.  Some scholars believe that Mousemas is a successor to the ancient pagan festival of Vole, but these days it is generally an opportunity for cats to play with their toys (living and dead), get tickles and indulgent themselves in every type of rich food that they fancy.  Does this remind you of anything?

Anyway, during Mousemas, I will be stepping away from the blog, and letting Saphy and Amber take over for the period.  I will have far too much to do catering to their every whim (as well as those of R and J as usual).
