Some snacks

R and I often go down to J’s flat in the evenings to watch the big screen TV.  At the moment we are watching “Babylon 5” which at the rate of one episode a night is going to take us about six months.  I saw most of it when it originally came out, but in such a disjointed form (it kept coming on at odd hours of the night with the order of the episodes all muddled up) that I never appreciated the whole plot.

While we are down there we generally have a snack – but tonight J had gone all elegant on us.

Note the bone china plates and the edible items: – a Norfolk plum cake, lemon drizzle biscuits, chocolate chip cookies, and something particularly disgusting which only J would have purchased.  A “festive custard cream selection” – custard creams flavoured with after eight mint, gingerbread and (this one is the worst) mince pie.

While we were enjoying these delights in the basement, Saphy had discovered a snack of her own – I had left an open can of tuna on the kitchen table.

Amber will not be pleased to have missed out on this – she loves tuna.
