An interesting combo

Today I made ricotta gnocchi in a tomato and pepper sauce with foccacia

Because it was Sunday, I also made dessert which was a chocolate and orange cream whip (forgot to take photo but it was in a small blue bowl).

Normally we have our Sunday lunch in the formal dining room, but I am in the middle of decorating it, so I brought J’s downstairs for him. He was (as ever) engrossed in a computer game, so I left the main course and the dessert next to each other on his basement dining table for him.

Later that afternoon I asked him how the food was. “Quite nice” he said “but the cream dip was a bit odd. It didn’t really go with the tomato sauce very well”.
