Nice visit

We had a lovely visit today from another lady who used to live in the house in 1970s and her husband.

She brought some lovely flowers and chocolates and we had a long chat about the house and her experiences there – including her cats which sound as though they were just as naughty then as ours are now. They had to bring their dog with them which was very cute but Saphy and Amber had to be locked in upstairs (although the dog was smaller than Amber at least)/

I made a very nice tea even if I say so myself – yet again I forgot to take a photo of the full table, but imagine this with sausage rolls and sandwiches and you will get the idea.

The star of the show was the Dundee cake – it honestly was really delicious and I will make it again. I was tempted to post a picture of it on the Facebook page for Dundee city and ask for comments on the cherry question but I thought it would be contentious so I didn’t.

Once our guests and their dog had departed, the cats had a full investigation to make sure and then did a good scent mark of everything.
