Another new walk

R and I went for a walk off the Ceres Road today.  It was a lovely morning, and on the way we had coffee and rolls and sausage from Baynes.  This is next door to Costa, but in our opinion far superior, and also is a local company selling Scottish food.  Then we walked up the hill in the sunshine and heard the woodpeckers knocking away in the trees.  Sadly we had to turn back before we got to the top because I had my Tesco order coming, but we will make time to do this again, and perhaps go all the way to Ceres itself.

When we got back, I finished painting the beams.  J and I cast our eyes over them, and sadly we both came to the conclusion that they need another coat – there is a long groove down each side of them and the way I painted them, the paint has not gone into it fully.  So without another coat it looks scruffy.  So back up that ladder again – I am getting very sick of this now, the end is in sight but I hoped I would be finished today as next week I am going on a little road trip down south.

On a more pleasant note, the curtain material finally turned up so I will be able to get those made up when I get back.
