Mother’s Day
Some nice things in this picture, all to do with my Mum and today.

We were all three of us going over to see our Mum/Mum-in-law in Helensburgh today. I had to get up specially early to go to church at 8am rather than 10:30am because it is a long drive, but we were given a lovely posy which you can see in the photo (in a Victorian mug which is nothing to do with mothers but was bought by me from Amazon because I liked it – sorry). The lovely blue lamp was a house warming present from Mum.
The picture at the back was constructed by me from extracts from a birthday book my Mum gave me, with additional cats added based on photos of real cats we have lived with over the years.

Amber our current black lady.

Saphy our current tabby lady.

Kitty, our cat from 1970s in Cumbria.

Llandff – found by J and I under a bush in Buchanan Street and adopted in 1990s

Heidi – Mum’s cat in Dumfries and Galloway – he was a boy.

Schrodi, one of our Bengal brothers RIP 2019

Tora his twin brother RIP 2022
We went to Sea Life in Balloch and then to a pizza restaurant. A nice day, but all I will say to anyone with an opinion about west coast versus east, is that we left Cupar in bright sunshine this morning. Just after Stirling it started to piss it down and continued in that vein with episodes of driving rain, hail and sleet, until we were at Stirling on the way back when it suddenly dried up and turned into a fine starry night. So sorry, but just saying.
