Amazing R

Sometimes I have a little fun at R’s expense because he is a leading expert in a rather obscure technical field.  Anyone reading this heard of Kubernetes?  I don’t think so, but as this is a blog about a Victorian house in Cupar, it is probably not a venue for people that have.  Anyway, it is a field of computing, that even if people haven’t heard of, they nearly all use, as it sits behind nearly every corporation in the world.  So it is not fair of me to say that R is “world famous in Poland”.

So at the moment, R is at a conference in Amsterdam, and he is so brilliant at his field that all the people in the picture have turned out to hear him speak.  He is the tiny speck in the distance on the podium.  And not only the people who were physically there today, but many times more people all over the world who will watch his speech on the Internet.

So R is pretty amazingly clever, and it goes without saying that it is him being a a computer expert that pays for the Victorian house.
