Star Magnolia

This beauty is now out in our garden – a star magnolia

The bulbs are about finished and although we have hyacinths, daffodils and many primroses, I think it is time for me to look at the garden centre (which is just down the road from us).

When I was a child there was a “primrose hill” near our house, and every year we used to go there and pick the primroses.  We would probably have been flung in gaol for doing it now, but sometimes we would dig them up and plant them in our gardens at home.  Didn’t make any difference because the whole hill is a housing estate now.
