R’s Office

Now that the pink wall paper and disgusting old curtains are gone, you can start to see what a gorgeous room R’s office is going to be.

I renovated the original Victorian fireplace.  It is operational though I don’t think R will ever actually use it.

The collage on the wall above was made by me from some wildlife photos taken by my super-talented sister-in-law.

With the curtain rail gone we were able to unfurl the original Victorian shutters.  We did not paint these when we got the rest of the paintwork done – I am going to polish them up.  R actually needs them because the only drawback of this room is that it gets hot in the afternoons when the sun is shining.

This is the view from the window with the nice blue walls and a glass of whisky ready for R’s return from Sheffield.
