Kitchen – stage one

So the kitchen fitters were here for two long days and all the hideous units have been replaced.  I’ve spent all of today putting everything back – this time with everything in a specific place rather than all jammed in to any old spot as they were before (basically there were so many boxes when we moved in that I just took pot luck on where to put things – which is why one of my best chef’s knife turned up in J’s dishwasher today).

These are the units – my Mum will say they are too dark a colour but I think they are pretty stylish.  Well I would seeing as how I chose them I suppose.

We still have the tiling and decorating to do.  The new floor is being laid tomorrow – sadly not in real encaustic tiles because we can’t afford them right now (they are really expensive).  Perhaps we will get them in a few years time.

I am quite pleased with this – now if we can just get the joiner and electrician to put the final touches to the main bathroom…
