Cupar,  Food

Sunday

Last week we had a very nice restaurant meal which cost over £100 for the three of us.

Today I made roast chicken, roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings, cauliflower, carrots, sage and onion stuffing and gravy.  Then we had homemade strawberry tart with ice cream.  The total cost of all of this was less than £20 (from Lidl).  Albeit this was perhaps slightly less delicious than the restaurant one and took me a couple of hours to make – it is still very hard to justify the extra £90 for the eating out version.

After all of that, R and I went for a walk through Cupar as it was a nice evening.  When we went through a park I could not resist going on the swings. There were no signs saying “No middle aged ladies”.

Then we sat out in the garden. There are an ominously large number of apples which I am shortly going to have to start processing – we have five ordinary apple trees and one crab tree. I hope most of them will be cookers rather than eating apples.
