Tabletop Scotland
The three of us went to Tabletop Scotland at the Royal Highland Centre today. We foolishly decided to take the train/tram rather than the car. This was a big mistake because although it said on the website that it was “15 minutes” walk from the Ingliston Park and Ride, it was in fact more like 35 minutes – much of it down the side of a busy main road with buses and lorries zooming past at high speed. And then the conference was not that interesting because we didn’t book in time to actually play any games.
The highlight of the trip was seeing this enormous cruise ship through the girders of the Forth Bridge. We wondered whether it had got stuck because it was in exactly the same place when we came back as it had been on the way out.
By the time we got back today my foot was very sore indeed so I am going to try to rest a bit tomorrow.
