Birthday
Happy birthday to me! I won’t say how old I am, but I was born in 1966 (hold on a second, doesn’t that mean….)
Anyway – R and I went to Lidl for it opening and came back with croissants and orange juice. J joined us (it is very, very unusual for J to surface before 10am) and we had these with coffee in the drawing room. I got presents from R and J and both cats.

One of the cats gave me a rude present – I don’t know which of them it was but I suspect Saphy, who is a kitty with attitude. The general tone of both that and the “Chill pills” bottle may say something about how I am viewed in the household. The electronic gizmo is a ghost detector – actually its primary purpose is purportedly to detect areas with poor insulation in the house, but really it is all about the ghosts.
J bought me two new avian friends who have been christened Gallina and Ovum. The card with the eggs came in an envelope saying “Which is first?”
Here are some of my birthday cards.

One thing that was really nice was that I got a card posted through my door by a friend I have made in Cupar – we lived in Lochgoilhead for 11 years and no one who lived there ever sent me a card of any type.
