Crafting a Christmas Bauble
I joined the “Cupar Craftmates” group a few weeks ago. It is basically a fun group of ladies (it does not surprise me that it is all ladies) who like making things and having a good chat while doing so. When not rushed off my feet, I am fond of such things as well, and it obviously runs in the family as my Mum was a wonderful artist and dressmaker and also did loads of other things like pottery and basket making (with varying degrees of success).
I just like making things like this.

I have been known to pressurize members of my family into doing things like painting Easter eggs, but none of them like it (except J who is a far better artist than I am). In fact when I told R that I had joined the Craftmates, his response was along the lines of “Glad to hear it, at least that will stop you bothering me”.
Anyway, last night we painted a bauble to go on a Christmas tree. Below is mine – the original design and the one on ceramics. The ceramic one doesn’t show its proper colours until it is fired.

Having drawn the design I promptly left it at home and R had to email it to me.
