Third day of Mousemas – some churches
Saphy here again.
M and J went on a “walk to the manger” today. This involved going into different churches around town and singing Christmas carols. As a slight digression – I believe mince pies were involved too – and what humans call mince pies is a gross misdescription which should be against the trades’ description act. “Mince” pies are of course properly made with finely minced mouse or vole. I am prepared to put up with the idea of minced beef or lamb – but dried fruit? No, absolutely not!
Anyway – they went for this walk this morning. I think M may have some genuine religious motives as she has been going to church every Sunday for a while. But J just likes going into nice buildings – unless of course he thought they were hiding the Ark of the Covenant or radioactive aliens in the basement in which case he would be on it like flint.
But where was R in this you may ask? Very wisely, having said last week he would go on this walk, he developed a terribly hoarse throat this morning which meant he couldn’t come. Wasn’t that just tragic? Just as well it recovered itself very nicely in time for lunch. I have a horrid feeling it might be due to come back tomorrow morning though – as there is a carol service on then that M wants him to come to.
We cats don’t go in for this religion stuff much any more. Mousemas is basically a secular festival – it’s all about the turkey (and prawns and salmon) as far as we are concerned. So let’s have a picture of me instead of some old church. Here I am helping wrap presents.

You can see many more beautiful photos of me on my Instagram feed – https://www.instagram.com/saphy.cat/. Next year I am thinking of having some branded merchandise – so watch this space.
