Finished my chair
I have been doing an afternoon class in upholstery once a week for the last four months. My project was one of the Edwardian chairs which we inherited and came from the house in Norfolk. It may have looked good as a watercolour with Saphy on it

But although it had a lovely frame and shape, the springs were totally gone and the velvet was faded, discoloured and had holes in it.

So with the help of the skilled upholsters at Walkers, I stripped it back to its frame (removing hundreds of tacks), and replaced the fabric, webbing and springs. It looks magnificent now.

Here is J test sitting it – he says it is comfy.

Saphy says she is reserving judgement until she has had a chance to test claw it.
