Cost of living

If you go to make an order from Tesco’s you will see a very peculiar thing.  There are branded items which are more than three times the price of their own make, which presumably people are buying.  Here is one example of many – tomato puree.  What do you say about it – it is thick and red, made of tomatoes and adds flavour and a bit of thickening to things – I would not have thought one brand had many differentiators from others.

Who is buying the £2.50 one?  I mean I am pretty well off and (R says) price insensitive – but honestly people must be nuts to be buying the expensive one.  Multiple this by numerous items in a weekly shop and you would be losing a fortune.
