More things of beauty
The good weather was back today and I resumed gardening, minus any help from the male members of the household. R has an excuse, J does not.
Anyway, they missed some good stuff. I am trying to keep the path through the trees to the smallest pond clear, because last year it was so difficult to get to that it nearly silted over. There is a trellis back there that had fallen over, with a clematis growing on it which I had thought was dead. It isn’t.

Then there is our crab apple tree which is a definite contender against stiff opposition for the “most beautiful tree in the garden” award.

But most beautiful of all is Saphy who followed me around all afternoon. Here she is on a pedestal doing a good impersonation of one of the stone cats at the door.

A real living breathing cat of Castlebank.
