Lurk and Lurkette
I may have mentioned Lurk before. He was made for the Cupar show in the class “a draught excluder made from recycled materials” and won second prize. His name is short for “Eden Lurk” – with his story being that he hides in the river waiting for anyone to come along and drop rubbish in, and then jumps out and eats them.
So when I got him home, I thought he looked a bit lonely, and also was not long enough to exclude draughts right across our very wide hall – so I made him a life companion who I have christened “Lurkette”. She is made to the same pattern reversed, so that where Lurk has his left over William Morris patterned curtain on his belly, and his left over green velvet from upholstering a chair, on his back, Lurkette has them the other way round. I also made Lurkette slightly differently in that the original pattern was in my estimation too stubby for a proper crocodile shape, so I added a tail tip with ribbon to Lurk (he had an unfriendly confrontation with an otter). With Lurkette I remade the pattern a bit longer.
Here are Lurk (right) and Lurkette providing their primary function of excluding draughts; actually that is their secondary one because their primary is looking cute.

Actually I think Lurk looks better with the contrasting tail tip and ribbon so I am going to add that to Lurkette too.
