Christmas Craft Fair

It seems just like a moment ago that it was the flower show and now all of a sudden it is getting colder, the leaves are starting to come off the trees, and I hear the first mention of the word “Christmas”.  Of course Lidl have had chocolates and cakes on display for quite a while now, but I did not think I would have to engage with it until December.

But…  The Fife Folk museum where I have been volunteering are having a Christmas Craft sale over November, and little as I approve of these activities taking place so early, I am putting my shoulder to the wheel and helping out.

First I looked a load of my spare fabric out and took it over to a lady who is making needlecraft items.  I may try to help out with this, but I have a big meeting coming up at work which I need to prepare for (plus the talk I am doing for the U3A History group at the end of the month), and everything you physically craft tends to take a long time.

So if I don’t have time to make soft toys, or skill to knit hats, I thought I could do something I am quite good at.  Here are some art prints inspired by objects in the museum.

They look quite nice – and critically do not take long to make as they are largely prepared on the computer and output on the super printer R bought for me earlier this year (right after he bought me a car – he really is a great guy).  So as far as bang for buck goes they should make a good profit for our very good cause.
