Mouse and Bacon
Saphy has had good hunting over the last few days so I decided to make a pie out of her catches. She was none too pleased about this, but accepted grudgingly that this was her contribution to the household economy. I minced the mice very finely to make them good and tender, mixed them with some bacon and then baked them in a nice hot oven.

Much better than veal and ham, and the oven door didn’t even get stuck.
PS If you do not understand this you need to read “The Pie and the Patty Pan” by Beatrix Potter. The pie was actually made for our lunch today and no mice were involved.
