Gardening

My besties

I have already mentioned Rowley the Mowrator.  He is one of R’s all time good discoveries – we got him when he was a kickstarter and he does all our lawns here front and back in short order.  R says this takes him 20 minutes with Rowley to my 45 and this in fact quite correct – but the way I do it (carefully going in to the corners) means that you don’t have to spend an hour afterwards with the strimmer correcting the bits you missed.  Just saying.

Anyway my other new bestie is Chippy.  He is (surprise surprise) a chipper, and he can turn a 90 litre bag of springy, prickly branches and garden debris into a small kitchen bag of mulch in about half an hour – he reduces the bulk of garden rubbish by about 8 to 10 times.

Some people might put this mulch straight on to their own garden, but it is a bit too coarse for my taste, but it greatly reduces the number of trips we have to make to the tip.

This is Chippy.

And here he is with his friend Rowley.  Between them I reckon they save me four hours a week.
