Last mow of the lawn

Definitely colder today, and quite a few leaves are coming off the trees.  I want to have a big push next week to “put the garden to bed for the year” – hopefully with some help from J.

I mowed the lawns for what I guess will be the last time this year.  Everything was looking quite fetching, and I planted the Sandringham acorns, having soaked them in water for 24 hours.

I definitely want to have a go at some pruning – particularly of the apple trees and the small (rapidly getting larger) oak tree.
