R’s Gourmet Meal
R went out for a complimentary meal at a conference he is at yesterday
I am not actually criticising the food because a) I didn’t get to taste it b) it is not my sort of food c) it looks well prepared and nice if you like that sort of haute cuisine stuff.
So the first course involved beetroot, ricotta and pecans.

The fish was artic chard with a cauliflower foam

Then some very rare looking lamb

And finally a cardamom sorbet

The sole comment I would make is that R ate all that food in the restaurant and liked it (except the lamb which was too rare for him) – he would have eaten precisely none of it and would have moaned his head off if I had served it at home.
J and I had toad in the hole.
