Two beautiful pictures

This is our lovely pure black lady Amber sitting on a velvet “Ladies’ chair”.  In Victorian times, chairs for ladies were made with no arms in order to accommodate their skirts (crinolines and later bustles).  All Amber is wearing is her fur which is a great deal more comfortable.

Looking out of the window behind her is a view over the garden just as it is getting dark.
