Halloween
I had my family round for Halloween (and a sort of combo with my birthday which is on Tues).
For the first time I laid the table in the dining room with the full works of silver, crystal and china.
We used the silver cutlery which is a pain to wash because you are not supposed to let it soak in hot water so each piece has to be carefully washed individually (the dishwasher is right out).
I laid the sideboard out as well.
And then of course the most essential thing – the grape scissors.
It being that day of the year – inevitably we had some guests.
The hideous old witch even had something to say for herself.
