More gardening
I spent the morning pulling weeds out of our garden and deadheading flowers. In the four days since I last did a lengthy stint we have managed to accumulate two 90l sacks of green waste – sigh. I am glad to see that the weedkiller I (carefully) sprayed on the gravel at the front is taking effect – there would be no way I could weed all of that.
Then this afternoon I went to Ladybank to look at the garden of St Mary’s which I am helping to clear. More weeds here – but I will say one thing for them – they are largely this – I forget its name but it has very shallow roots and comes up very easily.

J and I are going there to do some clearing on Monday, taking our electric strimmer and rotovator which should make light work of it. I would love to bring Rowley (our robot lawnmower) but unfortunately he weighs 80kg and is about a meter long, so I don’t think he will fit in the back of Gertie (our car).
Anyway I hope I am storing up some treasure in heaven for this because I am weary with gardening. R has gone to Sheffield for a conference and it is 32C – very atypically for R he actually rang the hotel to make sure the aircon was working.
