Fife Open Doors

Fife Open Doors in East Fife this weekend when a number of buildings which are normally closed to the public are open to visitors.

Of course our church is always open in the sense that everyone is welcome at our services, but it is not normally open just to have a look at the building – but today it was and I was helping show the visitors round.

We have a very lovely modern stained glass window over the altar.

I had been going to see the County Building afterwards, but it is only open on the Sunday so I will see it tomorrow.  Instead I went to see an art exhibition at the Corn Exchange which was quite good.  All the paintings seemed to be £50 to £100 until I saw the one I liked best and was going to buy until I saw it was the only one over £200.  My dad always said my mum was great at choosing the most expensive thing in the shop, so it obviously runs in the family.  I should start an art gallery.
