Clearing up

I cleared up yet another load of weeds today.  It was time for the composting bin to go out, and it was full up to the brim.

When I went to move it, I could hardly shift it at all, which I could not understand because the vegetation is normally quite light.  Then I realized that it was half full of the contents of the chipper, which had reduced about 200l of branches to a couple of very dense, very heavy cubic feet of mulch.  R had to take it down to the bottom of the drive because I wasn’t confident about pulling it over the untarmacked part of the drive.

I have also now cleaned out all the rubbish from the old coal store.  Here you can see the vaulted roof, and the cobbled stone floor.

Unfortunately part of the floor looks more like this – I will need to figure out what can be done with it.
