Before….

This is a raised bed by the side of the house – I am going to turn it into a herb garden.  At the moment, it is a sea of weeds intermixed with builders’ rubble and spilled concrete.

I started digging it over today, and once done, I will get some topsoil and plants for it.  Hopefully an “After” picture will follow soon.

In other achievements today, the electrician came and wired the the coal store with a light and two plug sockets.  Here are before pictures for that as well.

It will be interesting to see what can be done with this – I don’t plan to turn it into a full on habitable room because we have plenty of those, but I thought I might make it into what in USA they call a “root cellar”.  With a greenhouse heater to keep it above freezing in the winter it will make a super “refrigerator max”.
